iNTUition is NTU's only student-run 24 hour hackathon, held by IEEE NTU Student Branch. A hackathon is an event where newbies and seasoned veterans alike spend the weekend building meaningful and/or crazy projects from scratch. The term "hack" is used to describe how multiple technologies can be used together in a new and innovative way.
Students of all levels in any educational institution in Singapore & South-East Asia can sign up for iNTUition. If you are passionate about learning new technologies, building awesome projects and meeting like-minded hackers, we want you here!
Nope! Admission is free. Just register online and show up at the venue on 12th March! We'll provide food, caffeine, Red Bull, WiFi and a place for you to hack for the entire duration of the event.
Bring your Matriculation Card/Student ID for admission and your laptop/hardware for hacking. We’ll provide snacks and meals throughout the event. You can also bring your sleeping bag and toiletries.
No worries! Hackathons are the perfect environment to learn and apply something new in a short period of time! We are also organizing Road to iNTUition, a series of workshops before the actual hackathon to help you build something you can be proud of by the end of the weekend.
A team can have between 2 and 4 members. You can sign up as a team or start/join one on the spot. Note that at least one team member must be present throughout the competition. Flying solo is also an option, although hackathons are more fun when you work together!
Build something new and crazy that you are passionate about; iNTUition has no theme! Hacks will be ranked on technical difficulty, creativity, design & general impressiveness. Please note that you cannot recycle old projects or start developing your hack beforehand, however, you may use parts of projects you've built before.
This year, iNTUition has partnered up with 12Geeks to provide you with the opportunity to loan a variety of hardware kits including Arduino Unos, Raspberry Pis and Spark Photons for free to help you with your hack! Just let us know before the hackathon if you would like to reserve a kit. You can also buy these kits from 12Geeks during the hackathon if you want to take one home.
After the development period, a panel of judges will choose the top 7 teams to do short pitches of their hacks. You can find out about our prizes here.
